Co-curricular learning in action! 🌿
Science meets Hispanic Cultural Studies in a powerful hands-on experience! Our students explored the history of the Taíno people in the Caribbean and applied that knowledge alongside scientific problem-solving to design hurricane-resistant homes for this Indigenous civilization.
Through this project, students not only practiced engineering and physics, but also gained a deeper understanding of cultural history, collaboration, and critical thinking. Materials were gathered outdoors, and then the model building began! 🏠💨
This is co-curricular learning at its best, fully engaging students and bridging academics, culture, and creativity to life.
