Intersession

All of our students participate in this two-week program that takes place between the fall and spring semesters. Intersession encourages students to explore diverse activities beyond their career interests, step out of their comfort zones, discover new passions, and build confidence.

Our main priority during Intersession is to foster students’ professional growth, which includes improving communication, developing technical skills, and honing interpersonal abilities. To successfully complete projects, students need to collaborate effectively, manage their time well, and adapt to challenges.

The week of career exploration allows students to dive into predetermined topics of choice and learn new skills through hands-on experiences. Professionals from the community spend time with students and instruct them in areas such as fashion design, website design and development, bicycle maintenance and repair, and more.

The college exploration week includes college visits. Students are inspired as they tour the campuses of prestigious schools, including Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and Sonoma State University.
