What makes the Quest Forward Middle School experience different?
- Intentionally Small: We limit each class to 12–18 students to ensure every child is known and supported.
- Safe and Supportive Culture: We prioritize emotional well-being, strong relationships, and a no-cell-phone policy that enables meaningful connections.
- High School Preparation: We offer core academic subjects with expert-vetted high-quality curriculum materials. Our curriculum is designed backwards from graduation, meaning even 7th grade students start building high school and college-ready skills and habits.
- Family-Centered Service: Families are partners to us, and we strive to provide clear and frequent communication, prompt responses, and a deeply personalized experience for students and parents.
- Affordable: Joining a private middle school should not break the bank! We can meet most families’ needs to make tuition affordable. Check out our tuition calculator to determine exactly how affordable this school can be.
What does the curriculum look like for 7th and 8th grade? Students will experience:
- Core academic subjects (math, science, English, history)
- Project-based learning tied to real-world topics
- Workshops in time management, organization, and asking for help
- Enrichment opportunities like art, field trips, leadership experiences, and service
- A mentorship model with daily check-ins
What kind of student is a good fit for Quest Forward Middle School?
- Students who thrive in small, relational settings
- Families who value character development and academic growth
- Learners who thrive in a challenging but personalized environment
- Students who feel overlooked or under-challenged elsewhere
What about behavior and discipline?
We hold students to high expectations while providing the support they need to meet them. Our approach is proactive and relationship-based—we work with students to develop self-awareness, boundaries, and accountability.
Our commitment to excellence includes a clear and respectful uniform policy for 7th- and 8th-grade students, which has been shown to reduce distractions and negative behavior while increasing self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
How much is tuition?
While the standard tuition is $12,000 per year, we are committed to meeting each family’s financial needs. This means that many students attend for much less. See for yourself how you can afford this school with our easy-to-use tuition calculator below.
When and where will classes be held?
Classes will begin on August 10, 2026, at the current Quest Forward High School location, 1500 Farmers Lane, Santa Rosa, CA. The middle school will have a start time of 8:30 am and a pickup time of 3:30 pm. The middle school will have its own designated classrooms and spaces, designed for connection, creativity, and focus.
Is this just a feeder program for the high school?
No, our middle school will stand on its own as a powerful, full program. That said, students who complete 8th grade at QFMS will have priority access to our high school, with no re-application process. Their academic and social transition will be smoother by design.
